After the death of Captain Mitsuhri, it took some time for the Seireitei to fall back into its usual state of semi-calm. Despite suffering the loss of more than one veteran due to the event, the Military Unit was eventually able to regain a semblance of “normality” with a new Captain-Commander at the helm. They had barely made it to four months however, before a new crisis arose – one that affected not only them, but Rukongai as well.

Rukongai had always been a place of great divide – much like the Human realm. In some areas, especially those in the extremely poorer districts, many souls are left with very little choice when it comes to survival. Here, it is not uncommon for some to abruptly break bonds with their new families and simply disappear – vanish into seemingly thin air, never to be heard from or seen again. With such actions failing to be unprecedented, those left behind tend to move on naturally, many even go on to welcome new souls into their homes as replacements for those who left. This is why no one really payed close attention to the increase in disappearances, not until it became clear that something sinister was in the works.

At first, the disappearances were random and without significant incidence. Those who left were all young..or relatively so, which decreased the sensation for sounding any alarms – the young were always more apt to leave in search of a better tomorrow. However, as the cases became more frequent, some began to worry, and for good reason. The first noted alarm came when a young girl, one who had been extremely close to her adopted family, disappeared into the night without warning. This incidence would perhaps eventually have been written off, had not her younger brother confided to their parents that the girl had been snatched out of her bed by a horrific demon with four arms and eyes of fire. In the same district, a similar report was presented by another child who had witnessed her adopted mother being abducted by an eerie creature. When both children were questioned thoroughly about the events, a curious thing happened – each fell into a dream-like trance and began to sing the same rhyme:

 ”One, Two, it’s coming for you.

Three, Four better lock your door.

Five, Six grab your crucifix.

Seven, Eight gonna stay up late.

Nine, Ten…never sleep again.”

When asked about the significance of the rhyme, neither child could respond.

It didn’t take long before other districts across the realm began raising similar alarms. In all cases, people were snatched stealthily away – mostly from their beds or other places where they had been taking naps – and never were they seen again. The only witnesses to the deeds, if there were any, would by that of children…all of whom described the culprit as being a demon with fire for eyes, a hellish face, and numerous limbs; without fail, these kids would fall into a similar trance whenever interrogated and in this state they would all utter the identical rhyme.

For awhile, the flourishing and wealthier districts remained unaffected, but eventually they too became victims. The only area that seemed to escape the incidence’s grasp, was the Seireitei, so those who lived here were seemingly spared….that is…until Shingami themselves began disappearing as well.

 What the hell was happening?

Surely the culprit behind the ‘Disappeared,’ a name given to the countless victims, had to be an incredible force if even the Shinigami were susceptible.

A break came for everyone however, when a Shinigami who had previously disappeared, returned to the Seireitei. Dragging his torn and bloodied body through the Eastern Gates, this individual was immediately bombarded with concerns and questions…yet, he was unable to provide answers as the reunion was short lived – the Medical Unit was unable to save him.

Now, with it even clearer than before that a significant threat had descended upon them…just what will the Shinigami Forces do to apprehend a Monster who only children can seemingly see. Also, what has become of the Disappearead? Where were they taken after they were snatched away…and why? Who is behind it all??

Now in Session, Arc 2: The Disappeared!

The Fallen Mitshuri is the name of our current Arc. Established as a kick-off for the Shinigami faction of the RP, it also serves as the introductory event for all present characters.

The Synopsis:

A dark and ominous cloud has descended upon the Seireitei tonight. A powerful Captain has fallen, slain within the Seireitei, which no doubt hints the deed was an inside job. As the Captain of Interrogation for over 350 years, Chikage Mitsuhri had certainly ruffled more than a fair amount of feathers with his tenacity, never-ending curiosity, and methods of acquiring information. Then there are the rumors, the vast bits of implied comments suggesting Chikage was using his occupation to blackmail others.

Could it be that these rumors were true? Was he blackmailing someone in the Serietei and this was the person’s way of striking back? Or, could it be that his curiosity finally proved deadly? We all know that famous saying about curiosity after all. Did he perhaps stumble on something he shouldn’t have? If so, what kind of secret could be worth killing a Captain for?

That aside, there is also Chikage’s womanizing ways to think of. While he certainly refused to refer to his manner with the ladies as such, many disagree. Especially when he’s known to court numerous women at the same time, and is often seen flocked by those eager to be his next conquest. But there is more to it than that, Chikage also had no qualms about “dating” for the sole purpose of acquiring favors – so he was a user and manipulator as well…no?

Could it be instead that his womanizing and manipulating ways finally did him in? Or perhaps a jealous conquest was fed up about not being his only one?

Regardless of the exact motive; tension, suspicion, accusations, and fear, will now run rampant in the Seireitei as everyone seeks out Chikage’s murderer – a person who is perhaps hiding in plain sight. Then there is the added possibility that this is not an isolated crime…

What if the killer is after others as well?

Killing a Captain of the Soul Society is punishable by execution, so whoever did this will surely be exterminated. But before that can happen, the criminal must be found. This Arc, The Fallen Mitshuri, takes us through the paces of finding the dangerous culprit, and its going to be a mysterious and adventurous ride as this villain has more tricks up their sleeve. Then, in the midst of things spiraling even more, a mysterious external group has taken note of all the backlash.

Will the Shinigami be able to handle them while cleaning house?

The Fallen Mitshuri is an Arc fully controlled by the site’s members. Everyone has the capability to plant seeds of deception and cast off accusations–it is a sticky time indeed for all those who have had prior, negative run-ins with the man (and this has been almost everyone). In addition, while some may in fact know who the real killer is, they will most definitely have to prove it before becoming the next victim.

R.I.P itself is a private site, and instead of opening it so that guests can browse around, we have taken the key elements from the forum and written them up here. R.I.P is a small community, with no desire to be a site possessing hundreds of members. We do not consider ourselves to be elitists, as we are simply all about having fun, writing, and being a part of something special and creative. If you have never heard of Bleach before, but still have a desire to post with us, please feel free to register anyway as we do have adequate resources to guide you with the series. Also, as we are a custom Bleach RP, it is not necessary for you to be an expert in the canon. We are open to beginners, intermediate, and advance writers; all we ask is that you RP fairly and stay away from one/two/three-liners.

As we are a custom RPG, the plots on R.I.P have nothing to do with canon Bleach. There is no Aizen, no Ichigo, no Starks…no canon characters what-so-ever; in our Bleach Universe, these individuals never existed. What we do have are fresh characters with their own stories, agendas, and ideals; a variety of Factions harboring their own set of goals; and creative writers (RP-ers). Due to this, instead of having one single plot, we follow a sequence of  Arcs that are very faction/character/member driven. These events shall be tied to each other in some way, thus allowing for a cohesive RP that will not be difficult for readers and writers to follow. Of course, Arcs revolving around our “canon” history  will also play a significant role.

Regardless of the event underway, we strive to have every applicable character involved in some way. Our Arcs are never “play-by-script/line-by-line,” and we encourage members to incorporate their own ideas as well, as it is only fitting for their characters to be themselves as they embark on their own process of development.

On R.I.P there are a variety of factions: The Shinigami, The Hollows, The Rukongai Resident, Quincy, and HS Human. Members allowed to choose any Faction for their main character, and after a specific time of activity, they are allowed to have alts from other factions. As we only accept custom characters, members are free to be creative when it comes to designing them. All we ask is that everyone adheres to the forum guidelines when it comes to completing applications…and have no fear, these applications will not stifle your imagination.

The Shinigami

The Shingami Characters can range from students in the Academy, to Captains. There are Fifteen Captain  spots, Fifteen Lieutenant spots..and this number extends all the way to 5th Seat. There are unlimited student spots available, for those who wish to develop their character from the very base up. We do not force members to start at the very bottom of the ranks, however, no matter what tier is chosen a character will be introduced into the RP  at the base of their tier. This means that regardless of tier, every character does have room to steadily grow within that tier.

The Hollows

The Hollow Faction is comprised of the Espada and the Espada Army. Members have the option of being an Espada, Fracción, Ayudant, and other Números (the later 3 all make up the Espada Army). There are 10 Espada spots, ranging from 1-10, and each Espada is allowed to have 2 Fraccións, and 2 Ayudants. On R.I.P we do not view Espada as the only powerful hollows, hence a member should not worry or be weary of taking non-Espada positions.

The Rukongai Resident

The Rukongai Resident is a character who resides in Soul Society, but who is not a Shinigami. These characters are very versatile and very important in the RP as their roles are highly significant. On R.I.P, Rukongai is not ignored in favor of the Human Realm and Hueco Mundo, and so many events do transpire here. These characters can be prominent members of the realm, they can be good or corrupted, Soul Society is their playground and the possibilities are endless. This is the perfect faction for those who wish to RP intriguing human characters in a fantasy setting.

Quincy

The Quincy on R.I.P are much more than a mere Clan of Humans with special abilities. Unlike in canon, we have decided to give them a more solid foundation as far as their origin goes. We have no set limit on Quincy characters, however to this point this faction is not fully integrated.

HS Human

Referred to as High-Spec Humans in the canon, these character are non-Quincy Humans with special abilities. Like the Quincy Faction, we have created a more concrete foundation to explain why HC’s possess the level and type of power that they do. We have not set limit for them, but this faction is also not fully integrated at the moment.

Others

In due time, we will implement more factions into the RP, such as: Vizards, Rogues, and certain Yokai. However, we must first build up to the Factions waiting to be implemented.

Requiescant In Pacem, [a.k.a. R.I.P], is a forum-based Bleach RPG with its own unique history, custom characters, and member driven plots. We have essentially taken key elements from the original series and combined them with our own ideas, thus producing a Bleach Universe that allows for unique backdrops, fun, creativity, and character growth. Here, members are allowed to create their own characters to fit one of the many available Factions [Shinigami, Rukongai Resident, Hollow, Quincy, or HS Human], and take them through a journey of drama, intrigue, mystery, conflict, and romance.

Positions on R.I.P are granted based on the quality of submitted applications, availability, and the member’s own desire. We do utilize a point-based system in order to encourage character evolution, and reward members for their activity and performance. This system is a rather simple one, as points are earned by undertaking specific activities which have been pre-developed to both promote character growth, and encourage In-Character  interactions.

R.I.P is a rather friendly community with a very interactive social board. Members are encouraged to get to know each other outside of role-playing, and to share their views and opinions with the community. For this purpose, we have boards dedicated to general debates, anime, manga, music, games….you name it. Due to the nature of these discussions, and that of the RP posts, the contents of the site are for individuals  who are at least fifteen years of age.  As such, our official rating is R.
